M.Th. in History of Christianity
The Master of Theology (M.Th.) is a two-year postgraduate program, accredited by the Asia Theological Association (ATA). It is designed to equip candidates for academic and leadership roles in theological institutions, Christian organizations, and the global Church. The program aims to develop proficient Christian leaders, scholars, and writers who are capable of conducting independent research and contributing to the future of the Church and mission work in South Asia and beyond. This specialization is offered in the area of the History of Christianity.
LEARN, GROW, AND LEAD
The emphasis of M.Th. in History of Christianity gives an advanced level preparation and learning experience to candidates. It will help them learn and be mentored by faculty who are scholars in the History of Christianity. It will make the candidates grow in critical thinking, analyze historical developments, and build to lead with independent and original research knowledge.
The main objectives:

- To equip candidates with adequate academic and research tools, methods, and skills in history for analyzing, evaluating, and creatively participating in the diversified ministries and issues of the Church.

- To provide well-equipped leaders and teachers to influence and strengthen the body of Christ through fulfilling the God-given vocation of preaching, teaching, and writing.

- To promote creative and critical research of significant issues in the History of Christianity and to integrate its relevance to the ministry and missions of the Church.
Admission Requirements:

- Successful completion of a Master of Divinity or equivalent from a recognized institution with a “B Grade” or equivalent GPA.

- Ministry experience in local churches or church-related ministries.
Duration:
Two Years post-graduate degree. However, if the faculty decides that any candidate admitted to the program needs to do some qualifying courses, he/she has to do to get eligibility to the admission process.
Curriculum:
The candidates shall be required to take course works as follows (ATA Requirements): Credits: 30 Credits Courses and 6 Credits of Thesis (25,000 words)
